Terms and Condition

  1. Customers will have to pay the deposit or the full amount on the date/time specified by NEW WORLD LOGISTICS MOVING CO. and/or its representatives (hereinafter referred to as the “Company”) to confirm the relevant quotation and services, and all paid fees will not be refunded.
  2. The quotation of the services does not include miscellaneous fees such as bridge tolls, tunnel tolls and parking fees. Customers will pay the driver on the day where any such actual costs are incurred.
  3. The Company will compensate the customer for any damage made to the objects being moved if it was caused by the Company during the move (limited to the objects being transported), and the maximum amount of compensation is HK$2,000. Customers must purchase their own insurance for any higher protection coverage at their discretion. Claims for compensation must be submitted within 48 hours after the moving service. This clause is subject to the terms and conditions as further set out maximum HKD2000. In case of any disputes, the Company reserves the right of final decision.
  4. The quotation is for reference only. If the contents, list, and/or requirements and information provided for the quotation are not attached or found to be inaccurate on the moving day, the on-site movers will charge an additional fee according to the actual situation (which the Company will quote according to the circumstances at its discretion).
  5. Under the “Moving Large Items” package, such a package does not include the service of moving oversized or fragile items, such as safes or large fish tanks. If customers require the moving of any oversized furniture or electrical appliances that are overweight, which requires extra labor to move or requires a larger vehicle arrangement, the quotation will be adjusted accordingly (which the Company will quote according to the circumstances at its discretion).
  6. Additional charges will apply if providing our moving service will involve the movers to have to climb stairs (including the climbing of stairs to reach the elevator), or the need to reroute through the premise platform to reach the elevator, or if the parking location is remote (exceeding 50 meters), moving up slopes and/or assembling, disassembling or removal of furniture (which the Company will quote according to the circumstances at its discretion). The Company’s moving service does not include installation/disconnection of water, electricity, and gas utilities.
  7. If items that cannot be facilitated by elevator and which requires movers to utilize the stairs will incur additional standard fees according to the number of flights of stairs climbed.
  8. All paper/plastic boxes, bags, travel bags, etc. must not exceed a total weight of 25kg each, and the total length of three sides must not exceed 160cm, otherwise the standard price of each piece will be charged double the standard rate (the Company’s quote to be provided will be final).
  9. Customers must:
    1. Handle and pack other household sundries into boxes and bags for moving. On-site handling personnel will not pack on behalf of the customers;
    2. All sundries must be removed from furniture (such as shoes within any shoe cabinet), otherwise the piece of furniture will be charged double the standard price. The Company will not be liable and will not compensate for damages to the furniture caused by these sundries; and
    3. Calculate the total number of items to be transported before and after the moving service. If the Customer has any related questions (whether in relation to the total number of items to be transported or in relation to any damages), the Customer should ask the on-site handling personnel immediately. Once the on-site handling personnel leaves the premises, any questions or disputes raised by the Customer will not be accepted by the Company.
  10. The Company strictly prohibits on-site handling personnel asking for tips.
  11. The Company does not provide moving services to remote areas that are not accessible by land transportation such as outlying islands or restricted areas.
  12. The Company will not be liable for any loss or damage caused by any delay in handling and/or moving the objects and items of the customer.
  13. The Company will use reasonable efforts to provide moving services according to the usual moving standard times; however, these standards are not commitments and do not form part of the agreement.
  14. If the confirmed moving services need to be rescheduled or cancelled due to extreme weather conditions and/or other force majeure factors, the Company reserves the right of final decision. The Company will not be liable for any loss or damage caused by any delay due to a force majeure event.
  15. You acknowledge and agree that we act only as an intermediary between you and the service provider, and we are not your agent or the agent of the service provider. We are not responsible for the behavior, negligence, conduct, actions, or inactions on the part of the service provider. If there is any dispute in relation to the services provided then that dispute must be taken up by you with the relevant service provider directly.
  16. The Company reserves the right to suspend, revise or change these terms and conditions and various arrangements, and may cancel or terminate the service at any time without prior notice and without liability.
  17. The Company will process personal data collected in accordance with the Company’s Privacy Policy, please refer to the Privacy Notice here for details.
  18. These terms and conditions supersedes all prior oral or written agreements and undertakings.
  19. These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Hong Kong. In case of any disputes, the Company reserves the right of final decision.
  20. In case of any discrepancy between the Chinese version and any regional language version, the Chinese version prevails

Cancellation and Rescheduling

  1. For cancellation, The deposit and other fees you have paid will not be refunded.
  2. For rescheduling, you must inform the Company five or more working days in advance and negotiate with the Company in relation to rescheduling.If changes or cancellation to the Company are requested with less than 5 working days’ notice, the Company may, at its sole discretion, choose whether to accommodate such requests. The Company further reserves the right to forfeit any amount paid by you and charge an administrative fee of either HK$500 or 20% of the total invoice price, whichever is higher.”
